Eric Stoltz was originally tapped for the role of Marty McFly

You may already know that Eric Stoltz was originally tapped for the role of Marty McFly in Back to the Future, but what you may not know is that director Robert Zemeckis had shot five full weeks of Stoltz as McFly before making the decision to recast.

Never before seen footage of Stolz playing McFly appears in the Back to the Future 25th Anniversary DVD / Blu-Ray box set, and a sneak peek has just been released.

The trilogy box set will hit stores October 26.
