Quite Possibly the World’s Toughest Golf Hole

Chances are that even if you’re only slightly aware of the sport of golf, you would know a tough hole when you see one. And the Extreme 19th hole at the Legend Golf and Safari Resort in South Africa may just be the world’s toughest.

The hole itself plays as a par 3, albeit the longest par 3 in the world at 587 m. The tee off area is atop Hanglip Mountain, some 430 m in height. Balls hit to the green below take approximately 30 seconds to reach the green.

But that’s not all. Just getting to the tee off area is an experience in itself. Forget about driving your golf cart up there–the only way to access the tee is via helicopter.

Now if you think it’s ridiculous to even play this impossible hole, consider this–if by chance you make that one-in-a-million shot of your life and make a hole-in-one, you walk away U.S. $1,000,000 richer.
